Saint John of Kanty, patron of Poland and of the Archdiocese of Krakow, was born the 24 VI 1390 in the city called Kęty, located 30 km away from Oświęcim.
He'd finished his studies on the Philosophy Department of the Krakow Academy with a Phd degree. Later he was ordained a priest and became a school director in Miechów. There, at the request of the order of the Holy Sepulchre, he preached sermons and copied books. He was known as a professor and as a priest of God's Mercy. He was spending a lot of time giving confession. He was encouraging tirelessly the people to receive Holy Communion and he spread the cult of the Holy Eucharist.
"2 On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with your income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will have to be made." - 1 Corinthians 16:2
"5 So I thought it necessary to urge the brothers to visit you in advance and finish the arrangements for the generous gift you had promised. Then it will be ready as a generous gift, not as one grudgingly given.
Generosity Encouraged
6 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work." - 2 Corinthians 9:5-8

Understanding the four Gospels in depth can often be challenging, especially reading them back-to-back. This course, however, goes beyond simply reading the Gospels. We'll delve into who the Gospel writers were, their unique audiences, their purposes in writing, and most importantly, how each one presents a distinct view of Jesus.
We would like to invite you to another Mass with Charismatic expressions on Friday, December 6, 2024 7PM.
